Earlier this year the Guardian revealed that the monarchy had vetted over 1000 Westminster parliament bills and had secured changes whereby some laws do not apply to the monarchy.
Last week it was reported that the queen has also vetted 67 draft bills in the Scottish Parliament. Earlier this year her lawyers were successful in getting a change which exempts her private land in Scotland from a major initiative to cut carbon emissions.
Her Scottish estates have also been in the news through an open letter from leading environmentalists calling on the monarchy to rewild its estates to encourage diversity and help protect our climate. That there has been no royal response is a further display of the deceit in their claims to be climate change champions.
